Chili - Hearty Winter Chili

This hearty, winter chili of ground beef, red kidney beans, and spices is just the dish to warm you up after a day of skiing or ice skating. A quick easy recipe to throw in the crockpot before work and enjoy a delicious dinner when you get home. Mild enough for the kids to enjoy. Our family recipe that has been passed down through 3 generations!

Ground Beef - 1 1/2 lbs.

Onions, diced - 1 cup
Crushed Tomatoes - 2 1/4 cups
Red Kidney Beans - 2 cups
Worcestershire Sauce - 2 Tbsp
Garlic - 2 Tbsp
Chili Powder - 2 Tbsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Pepper - 1/4 tsp


1. For optimal flavor, place all ingredients in crockpot and cook on low 7-8 hours or on High for 4-5 hours.

For quicker cooking, place ingredients in large non-stick pot. Turn stove on medium high. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer, uncovered, for 35-45 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent chili from sticking to bottom of pot.
