Cranberry Orange Chicken Wings
Serves: 8-10 - Cooking Method: Bake at 450 - Total Time: 1 hour
No party is complete without chicken wings, yet who has to put up with the same old boring wing. Wings are baked topped with a Cranberry Orange Sauce: hoisin, garlic, ginger, orange juice and fresh cranberries. You can serve these butlered, on a buffet or in a crock pot.
What's for Dinner:
Cranberry Orange Chicken Wings
Tossed Salad
Garlic Bread
Italian Ice
Ingredients:
Chicken Wings - 3 pounds
Garlic, minced - 1 Tbsp
Ginger, freshly grated - 2 Tbsp
Hoisin Sauce (found in the Asian section of the grocery) - 1/4 cup
Olive Oil - 2 Tbsp
Onions, chopped - 1 cup
Green Onions, chopped - 1/4 cup
Orange Juice - 1/4 cup
Orange Zest - 2 tsp
Parsley, fresh and chopped - 1 Tbsp
Pasta Sauce - 1 cup
Pepper - 1/2 tsp
Rosemary, dried and crushed - 1 tsp
Cranberries, fresh - 1/2 cup
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450.
2. In medium sized bowl, mix all ingredients until wings are well-coated.
2. Place wings on a foil-lined baking tray sprayed with cooking spray (for easy clean-up). Bake wings in heated oven, turning occasionally, for 25-35 minutes or until chicken is evenly browned.
3. Increase oven temp to broil. Broil wings 6” from heat source for 8-10 minutes or until sauce is thick enough to coat a spoon.
4. Remove wings from oven and carefully transfer to serving platter. Any remaining sauce from pan can be spooned on top, if desired. Can be served in a crock pot to retain heat.
