Farmhouse Breakfast Pizza

Farmhouse Breakfast Pizza: a scrambled up, hearty hot breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash brown potatoes, and cheddar cheese on a pizza crust. A great choice for when kids want breakfast for dinner, an alternative for brunch, a make ahead holiday breakfast and perfect for sleepovers.

We use a frozen pizza crust to save time. You may wish to make your pizza crust or stretch pizza dough from your bakery.


Ingredients:

Pizza Crust, up to 16" - 1
Hash Brown Potatoes, shredded - 1 cup
Green Bell Peppers, diced – ¼ cup
Onions, diced - ¼ cup
Bacon, cooked and crumbled -1/3 cup
Black Pepper – ¼ tsp
Eggs - 10
Shredded Cheddar Cheese – 1 cup

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 and spray pizza pan with cooking spray.

1. Bake thawed pizza crust 15 to 20 minutes until light brown.

2. While crust is baking, scramble eggs in skillet with 1 Tbsp butter for 2-3 minutes until cooked through but still glossy and moist. In separate skillet, cook bacon pieces are crisp. Add in hash brown potatoes, onions, peppers and black pepper for 5 minutes until potatoes are tender.

3. Take crust out of oven and layer on 1/2 of the cheddar cheese. Next, layer scrambled eggs on top of cheese. Layer potato mixture on top of eggs, sprinkle with rest of cheese.

4. Bake for 5 to 8 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Let stand on cooling rack for 2 minutes before serving.
